V\u00a0posledn\u00edch letech je nejv\u00fdrazn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed tv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed Kocianova \u00dast\u00ed, v\u00a0jeho\u017e r\u00e1mci se kon\u00e1 ji\u017e 64. ro\u010dn\u00edk mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed houslov\u00e9 sout\u011b\u017ee. Festival i kl\u00e1n\u00ed talentovan\u00fdch um\u011blc\u016f p\u0159itom v\u00a0uplynul\u00fdch dvou letech \u010delilo neb\u00fdvale t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 zkou\u0161ce. V\u00a0roce 2020 se kv\u016fli prvn\u00ed vln\u011b covidov\u00e9 epidemie nemohl nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed \u00fasteck\u00fd hudebn\u00ed sv\u00e1tek konat v\u016fbec, loni jej organiza\u010dn\u00ed t\u00fdm uspo\u0159\u00e1dal v\u00a0online podob\u011b, aby des\u00edtky let ope\u010dov\u00e1van\u00e1 tradice neutrp\u011bla je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce. Zd\u00e1 se, \u017ee jednu velkou v\u00fdzvu po\u0159adatel\u00e9 \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b zdolali. \u201eJsem moc r\u00e1d, \u017ee se letos kon\u00e1me, jak se \u0159\u00edk\u00e1, v\u00a0pln\u00e9 poln\u00ed. Vzhledem k\u00a0postcovidov\u00e9 situaci a rusk\u00e9 agresi na Ukrajin\u011b se sice nep\u0159ihl\u00e1silo tolik \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk\u016f tolik jako v\u00a0minul\u00fdch letech, i tak je pro mne ov\u0161em t\u00fdden v\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed odm\u011bnou a sv\u00e1tkem,\u201c \u0159\u00edk\u00e1 um\u011bleck\u00fd \u0159editel Kocianova \u00dast\u00ed Pavel \u0160porcl, kter\u00fd letos poprv\u00e9 rovn\u011b\u017e p\u0159edsed\u00e1 odborn\u00e9 porot\u011b.<\/span><\/p>\n

Multi\u017e\u00e1nrov\u00fd 17. ro\u010dn\u00edk festivalu<\/b><\/p>\n

Festivalov\u00fd program za\u010dal v\u00a0pond\u011bl\u00ed 2. kv\u011btna v\u00a0kostele Nanebevzet\u00ed Panny Marie, kde se \u00fasteck\u00e9mu publiku p\u0159edstavil Pavel \u0160porcl po boku Barocco sempre giovane. Pardubick\u00fd komorn\u00ed soubor nebude chyb\u011bt ani v\u00a0programu p\u00e1te\u010dn\u00edho koncertu, kter\u00fd bude v\u011bnov\u00e1n dal\u0161\u00ed v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 osobnosti Kocianky. \u201eEmeritn\u00ed p\u0159edseda poroty pan profesor \u0160traus m\u00e1 letos \u017eivotn\u00ed jubileum, kter\u00e9 chceme oslavit spole\u010dn\u011b s n\u00edm. Napadla mne my\u0161lenka, \u017ee by vynikaj\u00edc\u00edmu pedagogovi mohli zahr\u00e1t pr\u00e1v\u011b jeho studenti. Vzhledem k tomu, \u017ee jedna z protagonistek Eva Zrostl\u00edkov\u00e1 onemocn\u011bla, tak se pan profesor nab\u00eddl, \u017ee osobn\u011b na koncertu vystoup\u00ed. V nov\u00e9 skladb\u011b Luk\u00e1\u0161e Sommera Gala Kocian, kter\u00e1 byla naps\u00e1na speci\u00e1ln\u011b pro tento koncert, se tedy p\u0159edstav\u00ed i n\u00e1\u0161 jubilant,\u201c hovo\u0159\u00ed o jednom z festivalov\u00fdch l\u00e1kadel jeho \u0159editel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ten p\u0159i tvorb\u011b programu leto\u0161n\u00edho 17. ro\u010dn\u00edku pamatoval tak\u00e9 na dal\u0161\u00edho z\u00a0p\u0159edsed\u016f poroty, ned\u00e1vno zesnul\u00e9ho Pavla H\u016flu. \u00datern\u00ed vystoupen\u00ed Bennewitzova kvarteta, je\u017e m\u011blo p\u016fvodn\u011b p\u0159ipomenout v\u00fdro\u010d\u00ed zalo\u017een\u00ed Kocianova kvarteta, bylo v\u00a0\"\"<\/a>s\u00e1le Hernychovy vily v\u011bnov\u00e1no pr\u00e1v\u011b jeho dlouholet\u00e9mu prim\u00e1riovi. \u201ePavla jsme m\u011bli v\u0161ichni moc r\u00e1di, byl v\u00a0hudebn\u00edm sv\u011bt\u011b respektov\u00e1n a pro propagaci Kocianova jm\u00e9na ud\u011blal nesm\u00edrn\u011b mnoho,\u201c je si v\u011bdom \u0160porcl.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jak d\u00e1le podot\u00fdk\u00e1, i leto\u0161n\u00ed Kocianovo \u00dast\u00ed ct\u00ed multi\u017e\u00e1nrovou dramaturgii. Zat\u00edmco nap\u0159\u00edklad p\u0159ed \u010dty\u0159mi roky zav\u00edtali do Ro\u0161kotova divadla brat\u0159i Ebenov\u00e9, letos to bude dal\u0161\u00ed ze st\u00e1lic na\u0161\u00ed popul\u00e1rn\u00ed hudby \u2013 Jitka Zelenkov\u00e1. P\u0159itom ji\u017e o den d\u0159\u00edve se p\u0159edstavil na stejn\u00e9m m\u00edst\u011b \u00fasteck\u00e9mu publiku po boku pardubick\u00fdch filharmonik\u016f prvn\u00ed \u201eonline laure\u00e1t\u201c v\u00a0d\u011bjin\u00e1ch Kocianovy sout\u011b\u017ee \u2013 lo\u0148sk\u00fd v\u00edt\u011bz 2. kategorie Kai Gergov. \u201e<\/span>Je skv\u011bl\u00e9, \u017ee sout\u011b\u017e d\u00e1v\u00e1 talent\u016fm mo\u017enost zahr\u00e1t si s\u00a0orchestrem, nato\u010dit nahr\u00e1vku, je to velmi d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fd aspekt za\u010d\u00e1tku kari\u00e9ry. Na\u0161i laure\u00e1ti jsou ve sv\u00fdch kategori\u00edch naprost\u00e9 \u0161pi\u010dky, a proto se Kocianka \u0159ad\u00ed mezi sout\u011b\u017ee top kvality. Krom\u011b lo\u0148sk\u00e9 nahr\u00e1vky jsem m\u011bl mo\u017enost sly\u0161et Kaie i na\u017eivo, je to opravdu mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u00fd talent,\u201c oce\u0148uje mlad\u00e9ho um\u011blce jeho star\u0161\u00ed kolega.<\/span><\/p>\n

V\u00a0\u010dele poroty pouze letos, nebo i do budoucna?<\/b><\/p>\n

N\u00e1hl\u00e9 \u00famrt\u00ed p\u0159edsedy poroty Pavla H\u016fly, sv\u011b\u0159ence Kocianovy \u017ea\u010dky Marie Hlou\u0148ov\u00e9, postavilo organiza\u010dn\u00ed t\u00fdm sout\u011b\u017ee p\u0159ed nelehk\u00fd \u00fakol naj\u00edt jeho n\u00e1stupce, ide\u00e1ln\u011b t\u00e9\u017e z\u00a0kocianovsk\u00e9 linie. Jm\u00e9no Pavla \u0160porcla se v\u00a0t\u00e9to souvislosti ji\u017e v\u00a0minulosti sklo\u0148ovalo, s\u00e1m um\u011blec se rozhodl hozenou rukavici zvednout. \u201eTento rok uk\u00e1\u017ee, zda budu v\u0161echny aktivity st\u00edhat. Kocianka je mou srdcovkou, r\u00e1d bych j\u00ed pom\u00e1hal do budoucna. Pokud mi to ostatn\u00ed pracovn\u00ed povinnosti dovol\u00ed, budu pokra\u010dovat v\u00a0tom, co zapo\u010dal pan profesor Sn\u00edtil a v\u00a0\u010dem pokra\u010doval i Pavel H\u016fla,\u201c zn\u00ed z\u00a0\u00fast novope\u010den\u00e9ho p\u0159edsedy poroty, kter\u00fd dod\u00e1v\u00e1: \u201eSout\u011b\u017e m\u00e1 ka\u017ed\u00fd rok kr\u00e1snou atmosf\u00e9ru, hodn\u011b se sna\u017e\u00edme o to, aby byla rodinn\u00e1, aby to nebylo jen o sout\u011b\u017een\u00ed. I letos budeme m\u00edt na z\u00e1v\u011bre\u010dn\u00e9m koncertu sout\u011b\u017en\u00ed orchestr.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

Ve st\u00ednu epidemie a v\u00e1lky<\/b><\/p>\n

Pavel \u0160porcl v\u00a0rozhovoru pro zpravodaj p\u0159ipou\u0161t\u00ed, \u017ee ani po p\u0159ekon\u00e1n\u00ed covidov\u00fdch trabl\u00ed nem\u00e1 Kocianka zdaleka na r\u016f\u017e\u00edch ustl\u00e1no. Na sv\u011bt um\u011bn\u00ed toti\u017e po pandemii dopadla s\u00a0velkou t\u00edhou tak\u00e9 rusk\u00e1 agrese na Ukrajin\u011b. \u201eBohu\u017eel si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee cel\u00e1 kultura st\u00e1le velmi trp\u00ed, speci\u00e1ln\u011b klasick\u00e1 hudba \u010di divadlo. \u010ctrn\u00e1ct dn\u00ed, m\u011bs\u00edc to vypadalo nad\u011bjn\u011b, jen\u017ee s\u00a0vypuknut\u00edm konfliktu euforie opadla. Lid\u00e9 \u010dasto nemaj\u00ed prost\u0159edky a hlavn\u011b v\u0161eobecn\u00fd strach, kter\u00fd kolem n\u00e1s panuje, ur\u010dit\u011b n\u00e1m um\u011blc\u016fm nenapom\u00e1h\u00e1,\u201c p\u0159ipou\u0161t\u00ed Pavel \u0160porcl a pokra\u010duje: \u201eAni jsme si nedovedli p\u0159edstavit, \u017ee je n\u011bco takov\u00e9ho mo\u017en\u00e9, t\u00edm, \u017ee jsme bl\u00edzko, to vn\u00edm\u00e1me daleko intenzivn\u011bji. Mezi zabit\u00fdmi ve v\u00e1lce jsou i um\u011blci, je mi to nesm\u00edrn\u011b l\u00edto, cel\u00e1 situace je prost\u011b p\u0159\u00ed\u0161ern\u00e1.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

Ani v\u00a0nastal\u00e9 situaci ale neskl\u00e1d\u00e1 zbran\u011b, p\u0159esn\u011bji \u0159e\u010deno sv\u00e9 modr\u00e9 housle. Je toti\u017e p\u0159esv\u011bd\u010den, \u017ee kulturn\u00ed sv\u011bt v\u0161echny ot\u0159esy dok\u00e1\u017ee p\u0159est\u00e1t. \u201eNejsem pesimista, ale veskrze pozitivn\u00ed \u010dlov\u011bk, st\u00e1le vid\u00edm sv\u011btlo na konci tunelu. Na\u0161e spole\u010dnost b\u011bhem pandemie finan\u010dn\u011b vykrv\u00e1cela, p\u0159esto te\u010f z\u00a0velk\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti \u00fa\u017easn\u011b podporuje ukrajinsk\u00e9 uprchl\u00edky, stejn\u011b jako na\u0161e vl\u00e1da,\u201c oce\u0148uje virtuos po\u010d\u00edn\u00e1n\u00ed politik\u016f i b\u011b\u017en\u00fdch ob\u010dan\u016f.<\/span><\/p>\n

P\u0159es v\u0161echna omezen\u00ed byly posledn\u00ed dva roky pro patrona Kocianky a jej\u00edho laure\u00e1ta z\u00a0roku 1986 ve znamen\u00ed rozmanit\u00fdch aktivit, pr\u00e1v\u011b ty jsou podle Pavla \u0160porcla kl\u00ed\u010dem k\u00a0pozitivn\u00edmu my\u0161len\u00ed. Online koncerty, n\u00e1vrat na p\u00f3dia v\u00a0\u010cesku i zahrani\u010d\u00ed, k\u00a0jednomu americk\u00e9mu turn\u00e9 brzy p\u0159ibudou dv\u011b dal\u0161\u00ed. \u201eNapsal jsem knihu, nato\u010dil desku, te\u010f u\u017e druhou, j\u00ed\u017e vzd\u00e1v\u00e1m hold dal\u0161\u00edmu na\u0161emu velik\u00e1novi Janu Kubel\u00edkovi a hraji sv\u011btovou premi\u00e9ru jeho prvn\u00edho houslov\u00e9ho koncertu. Nedok\u00e1\u017eu se nudit, um\u011blecky jsem nestr\u00e1dal v\u00a0tom smyslu, \u017ee bych m\u011bl zalo\u017een\u00e9 ruce. M\u00e1m \u00fa\u017easnou rodinu a housli\u010dky, kter\u00e9 d\u011blaj\u00ed radost mnoha lidem,\u201c nach\u00e1z\u00ed pozitiva Pavel \u0160porcl a odhodlan\u011b dod\u00e1v\u00e1: \u201eKultura nevym\u0159ela a nevym\u0159e, p\u0159es nelehkou situaci to zvl\u00e1neme. Mus\u00edme v\u011b\u0159it, \u017ee covid i v\u00e1lka pominou, \u017ee si budeme moct na chvilku odpo\u010dinout od starost\u00ed, se kter\u00fdmi jako jedinci nem\u016f\u017eeme p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 mnoho ud\u011blat. Posl\u00e1n\u00edm n\u00e1s um\u011blc\u016f je p\u0159ed\u00e1vat lidem duchovn\u00ed a du\u0161evn\u00ed z\u00e1\u017eitky, snad k\u00a0tomu budeme m\u00edt dostatek p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost\u00ed.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKocianka, dear to my heart\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

For the past few years, he has been the main face of the Kocian \u00dast\u00ed festival, which is now holding its 64<\/span>th<\/span> international violin competition. The festival and the competition themselves faced a heavy trial in the last two years. In 2020, the biggest musical event in \u00dast\u00ed could not take place due to the pandemic of COVID-19. Last year it took place completely online in order to keep the long-standing tradition alive. It seemed that the organizers managed to successfully overcome one of the obstacles. \u201cI am pleased that the competition is happening in its entirety this year. Due to post-covid issues and the current situation in Ukraine, there are not as many contestants as in previous years, but I still view this week in \u00dast\u00ed as a reward and a celebration,\u201d comments the art director of the festival, Pavel \u0160porcl, who is also a jury chairman this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

17<\/b>th<\/b> Multi-Genre Festival<\/b><\/p>\n

The festival programme started on Monday, May 2<\/span>nd<\/span>, in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, where Pavel \u0160porcl performed alongside the chamber ensemble Barocco sempre giovane. This ensemble from Pardubice will also perform on Friday, the concert will be dedicated to another prominent figure of Kocianka. \u201cAn emeritus jury chairman, professor Straus, celebrates his life jubilee this year; and we want to celebrate it with him. And what could be better than having his own students perform for him. One of the performers, Eva Zrostl\u00edkov\u00e1, sadly fell ill. The professor then agreed to perform at the concert himself, meaning that the man of the hour will also take part in performing a new composition called <\/span>Gala Kocian<\/span><\/i> by Luk\u00e1\u0161 Sommer, which was specifically composed for this event,\u201d says the festival director.<\/span><\/p>\n

When creating the programme for the 17<\/span>th<\/span> festival, the director remembered yet another jury chairman, Pavel H\u016fla, who passed away recently. The Bennewitz Quartet performance on Tuesday in Hernych Villa was dedicated to him, instead of the formerly planned dedication to the Kocian Quartet anniversary. \u201cWe all loved Pavel, he was a respected member of the music world and he had a great impact on promoting the Kocian name,\u201d \u0160porcl comments.<\/span><\/p>\n

He adds that this year\u2019s Kocian \u00dast\u00ed festival also carries a multi-genre dramaturgy. Four years ago, we could see the band Brat\u0159i Ebenov\u00e9 perform in Ro\u0161kot Theatre; this year, for instance, there will be a chance to see another prominent figure of our popular music \u2013 Jitka Zelenkov\u00e1. A day prior to that, there is a performance by Pardubice Philharmonic and the very first \u201conline laureate\u201d, Kai Gergov, who is the last year\u2019s 2<\/span>nd<\/span> category winner. \u201cIt is great that the competition gives the musicians a chance to play with orchestras, make a record; it is an important factor at the beginning of their careers. Our laureates are on top of their categories, therefore, Kocianka is considered to be a high-quality competition. Apart from the last year\u2019s recording, we also had a chance to hear Kai perform live, he really has a unique talent,\u201d comments the artist\u2019s older colleague.<\/span><\/p>\n

A jury chairman for this year only, or for the following years as well?<\/b><\/p>\n

The sudden passing of the jury chairman Pavel H\u016fla, a ward of one of the Kocian\u2019s students \u2013 Marie Hlou\u0148ov\u00e1, has presented the organizers with the tricky task of finding his successor, ideally from the Kocian\u2019s lineage. The name of Pavel \u0160porcl was discussed in the past, and the artist himself decided to answer the call. \u201cThis year will be a trial for me, whether I can manage all my activities. Kocianka is very dear to my heart, I would like to be of assistance in the following years. If my other work responsibilities permit, I will continue in the work of professor Sn\u00edtil and Pavel H\u016fla,\u201d says the new jury chairman, and adds: \u201cThe competition atmosphere every year is spectacular. We strive for it to be familiar, not only competitive. At this year\u2019s final concert there will again perform a competition orchestra.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In the shadow of a pandemic and war<\/b><\/p>\n

Pavel \u0160porcl admits that even after overcoming the obstacles of the pandemic, the competition is not out of the woods yet. The world of art has been heavily affected by the Russian aggression in Ukraine as well. \u201cI think that the culture as a whole is still suffering, especially classical music and theatre. The situation looked promising for about two weeks or a month, but the euphoria quickly died with the conflict eruption. People do not have resources and there is this constant fear all around us, which does not help us, artists. We could not even imagine that something like this could happen, and as we are located so near, we perceive these issues with more intensity. Among the people killed in this war, there were artists as well, that pains me a lot, this whole situation is horrible,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the current situation, he is not laying down his arms, namely his blue violin. He is convinced that the cultural world can withstand any storm. \u201cI am not a pessimist, I am more of a positive person, I still see the light at the end of the tunnel. Our society sustained heavy financial damages during the pandemic, but we still largely support Ukrainian refugees, as our government does,\u201d he appreciates the actions of civilians and politicians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite all the restrictions, the last two years have been a time full of various activities for the Kocianka patron and its 1986 laureate. These activities are, according to \u0160porcl himself, the key to a positive mindset. Online concerts, the return on the stage in the Czech Republic and abroad, the American tour, soon to be accompanied by two more. \u201cI wrote a book, recorded a new album (now my second), in which I pay tribute to Jan Kubel\u00edk, and I play the world\u2019s premiere of his first violin concert. I am unable to get bored, I did not suffer artistically because I never stopped moving. I have a wonderful family and a violin that brings joy to so many people. The culture has not died and it will not happen, we will prevail even despite the difficult situation. We must believe that the pandemic and war will pass, that we will have a chance to catch our breath and relax from the things that we alone cannot change. Our mission as artists is to provide people with spiritual experience, I hope that we will have a chance to do so.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
