Jakmile se ale po\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed, spust\u00ed Pavel \u0160porcl se stejnou intenzitou, s\u00a0jakou absolvuje cel\u00fd t\u00fdden v\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed. Energicky, pozitivn\u011b a s\u00a0vizemi, jak posouvat Kocianku d\u00e1l do absolutn\u00ed sv\u011btov\u00e9 \u0161pi\u010dky.<\/span><\/p>\n

J\u00e1 si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee je d\u016fkaz \u00fa\u017easn\u00e9ho renom\u00e9, kter\u00e9 si Kocianka dr\u017e\u00ed. A m\u00e1m velkou radost samoz\u0159ejm\u011b i za Heranovu sout\u011b\u017e. V\u011bt\u0161\u00ed po\u010det p\u0159ihl\u00e1\u0161ek znamen\u00e1 impulz jak pro sout\u011b\u017e samotnou, tak i pro sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00ed a jejich doprovod.<\/span><\/p>\n

D\u00e1 se odhadnout, co v\u0161echno se do n\u011bj prom\u00edtlo? Faktor\u016f bude, p\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1m, v\u00edc.<\/b><\/p>\n

V\u00a0minulosti jsme na Kociance m\u011bli i p\u0159es sedmdes\u00e1t houslist\u016f a houslistek, tak\u017ee takovou situaci zn\u00e1me. Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b dobr\u00e9 jm\u00e9no sout\u011b\u017ee je z\u00e1klad. Kdy\u017e \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edci, podot\u00fdk\u00e1m bez ohledu na v\u00fdsledek, odj\u00ed\u017ed\u011bj\u00ed s\u00a0dobr\u00fdm pocitem, s\u00a0t\u00edm, \u017ee si Kocianku u\u017eili, na\u0161li si v\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed nov\u00e9 kamar\u00e1dy, v\u0161ichni se k\u00a0nim chovali hezky. Zm\u00ednil bych i p\u0159ijet\u00ed u starosty, to neb\u00fdv\u00e1 v\u0161ude zvykem a tady je opravdu stylov\u00e9.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A druh\u00e1 skute\u010dnost, kterou nelze pominout, je, \u017ee m\u00e1me p\u0159eci jen n\u011bjak\u00fd rok po covidov\u00e9m obdob\u00ed. U\u017e nen\u00ed tak slo\u017eit\u00e9 n\u011bkam dojet, dolet\u011bt.<\/span><\/p>\n

D\u016fkazem toho mimo jin\u00e9 je, \u017ee dom\u00e1c\u00ed z\u00e1stupce na Kocianov\u011b sout\u011b\u017ei vyrovnaj\u00ed co do po\u010dtu sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00ed z\u00a0Mongolska. Co na to \u0159\u00edct?<\/b><\/p>\n

To je prost\u011b neuv\u011b\u0159iteln\u00fd! Zkr\u00e1tka n\u00e1s v\u00a0Mongolsku miluj\u00ed. Je to obrovsk\u00e1 rarita, ale tak\u00e9 satisfakce za dobrou pr\u00e1ci. Jezd\u00ed k\u00a0n\u00e1m u\u017e n\u011bkolik let a st\u00e1le ve v\u011bt\u0161\u00edm a v\u011bt\u0161\u00edm po\u010dtu. Pro n\u011b sout\u011b\u017e je srde\u010dn\u00ed z\u00e1le\u017eitost\u00ed. My si moc v\u00e1\u017e\u00edme toho, \u017ee k\u00a0n\u00e1m jezd\u00ed, co\u017e oni jist\u011b c\u00edt\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Na KHS se objevuj\u00ed nejen nov\u00ed sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00ed, ale tak\u00e9 porotci, do jejich\u017e v\u00fdb\u011bru jako p\u0159edseda jist\u011b promlouv\u00e1te. Co v\u00e1s vedlo k anga\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed \u0160t\u011bp\u00e1na Graffeho a Vladim\u00edra\u00a0Harvana?<\/b><\/p>\n

Porotce jsem samoz\u0159ejm\u011b vyb\u00edral. \u0160t\u011bp\u00e1n je vynikaj\u00edc\u00ed houslista a pedagog z\u00a0brn\u011bnsk\u00e9 konzervato\u0159e. Domn\u00edv\u00e1m se, \u017ee by Morava m\u011bla b\u00fdt v\u00a0porot\u011b zastoupena, u\u017e jen kv\u016fli ur\u010dit\u00e9 proporcionalit\u011b. U slovensk\u00e9ho porotce hr\u00e1lo roli mimo jin\u00e9 to, \u017ee je nejen emeritn\u00edm pedagogem bratislavsk\u00e9 konzervato\u0159e, ale tak\u00e9 u\u010ditelem nevidov\u00e9ho houslisty Viktora Knappa, kter\u00fd loni na Kociance sout\u011b\u017eil.<\/span><\/p>\n

To byl pro mnoh\u00e9 z\u00a0n\u00e1s nezapomenuteln\u00fd z\u00e1\u017eitek.<\/b><\/p>\n

Neskute\u010dn\u011b m\u011b zaujal, proto jsem mu ud\u011blil speci\u00e1ln\u00ed cenu. I to byl d\u016fvod pro anga\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed jeho pedagoga.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kdy\u017e se pod\u00edv\u00e1me na harmonogram sout\u011b\u017ee, je to skute\u010dn\u011b kvap\u00edk, u v\u00e1s nav\u00edc spojen\u00fd s\u00a0festivalem. Zvl\u00e1dnete takov\u00fd n\u00e1por?<\/b><\/p>\n

Budeme muset! <\/span>(sm\u011bje se)<\/span><\/i> Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b to zvl\u00e1dneme, jsme profesion\u00e1lov\u00e9, m\u00ed kolegov\u00e9 ve v\u011bt\u0161in\u011b t\u00e9\u017e v\u00e1\u017een\u00ed pedagogov\u00e9, zvykl\u00ed u\u010dit po cel\u00e9 dny. V\u017edycky jsem si d\u00e1val za jeden z\u00a0nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch c\u00edl\u016f, aby byla porota opravdu objektivn\u00ed. Mysl\u00edm, \u017ee se n\u00e1m to da\u0159\u00ed, a chceme v\u00a0tom nad\u00e1le pokra\u010dovat.<\/span><\/p>\n

T\u00fddenn\u00ed z\u00e1p\u0159ah zvl\u00e1dnete i d\u00edky lep\u0161\u00ed fyzick\u00e9 kondici? Hodn\u011b p\u00ed\u0161ete o tom, jak jste p\u0159ed v\u00edce ne\u017e rokem zm\u011bnil svoji \u017eivotospr\u00e1vu.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ur\u010dit\u011b mi to hodn\u011b pom\u00e1h\u00e1, \u010dlov\u011bk m\u00e1 v\u00edc energie, m\u016f\u017ee se d\u00e9le soust\u0159edit. U\u017e loni jsem v\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed na ob\u011bd chodil do jednoho bistra, kde mi d\u011blali fresh juice. To u\u017e m\u00e1m najet\u00e9, je to rozhodn\u011b lep\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e n\u011bjak\u00e9 rychl\u00e9 cukry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vysok\u00e9 n\u00e1roky nem\u00e1te jen na sebe, ale i sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00ed. Dlouh\u00e1 l\u00e9ta se na Kociance \u0159\u00edk\u00e1, \u017ee slevovat se z\u00a0nich nebude, to plat\u00ed i nad\u00e1le?<\/b><\/p>\n

Nepochybn\u011b! N\u00e1roky mus\u00ed b\u00fdt st\u00e1le stejn\u00e9, i kdy\u017e nikdy p\u0159edem nev\u00edte, jac\u00ed sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00ed doraz\u00ed a jak p\u0159esn\u011b budou hr\u00e1t. Ob\u010das pod\u00e1 neuv\u011b\u0159iteln\u00fd v\u00fdkon n\u011bkdo, od koho to tolik ne\u010dek\u00e1te, a naopak u n\u011bkoho m\u016f\u017ee zapracovat nervozita. Sout\u011b\u017e ale m\u00e1 svou presti\u017e a bylo by \u0161patn\u00e9 ji n\u011bjak kvalitativn\u011b kompromitovat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vedle vysok\u00e9 \u00farovn\u011b sout\u011b\u017ee \u010dasto hovo\u0159\u00edte tak\u00e9 o nutnosti jej\u00edho kvalitn\u00edho finan\u010dn\u00edho zaji\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed, da\u0159\u00ed se?<\/b><\/p>\n

Sna\u017e\u00edme se. Ale p\u0159eci jen pokud se chceme pom\u011b\u0159ovat s\u00a0absolutn\u00ed sv\u011btovou \u0161pi\u010dkou sout\u011b\u017e\u00ed, mus\u00edme jim sta\u010dit i finan\u010dn\u011b, odm\u011bny k\u00a0nim prost\u011b pat\u0159\u00ed. Mal\u00ed i mlad\u00ed vn\u00edmaj\u00ed, co za v\u00edt\u011bzstv\u00ed dostanou, a m\u011bli by. Finance jsou zapot\u0159eb\u00ed tak\u00e9 na festival.\u00a0 Prvn\u00ed koncert violoncellisty Ji\u0159\u00edho B\u00e1rty a Sudetsk\u00e9 filharmonie tvo\u0159\u00ed jak\u00fdsi p\u0159ed\u011bl mezi Herankou a Kociankou, byl to v\u00e1\u0161 \u00famysl?<\/b><\/p>\n

Jsou dva aspekty, o kter\u00e9 mi \u0161lo. Prvn\u00edm je propojen\u00ed sout\u011b\u017e\u00ed jako takov\u00fdch v\u00a0osob\u011b vynikaj\u00edc\u00edho cellisty Ji\u0159\u00edho B\u00e1rty. Druh\u00fd zav\u00e1d\u00edme letos a budu se v\u00a0n\u011bm sna\u017eit pokra\u010dovat. Jde mi o osloven\u00ed polsk\u00fdch orchestr\u016f, jakousi region\u00e1ln\u00ed spolupr\u00e1ci. P\u0159eci jen Polsko je velmi bl\u00edzko, ale nejsem si jist, zda byl mimo sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00edch n\u011bkdy na Kocianov\u011b \u00dast\u00ed n\u011bjak\u00fd polsk\u00fd um\u011blec. R\u00e1d bych spolupr\u00e1ci t\u00edmto koncertem nastartoval.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ve festivalov\u00e9m programu ne\u0161lo p\u0159ehl\u00e9dnout tak\u00e9 koncert k\u00a0Roku \u010desk\u00e9 hudby. U\u017e jen z\u00a0d\u016fvodu, \u017ee v\u00a0n\u011bm p\u0159\u00edjmen\u00ed \u0160porcl bylo hned dvakr\u00e1t.<\/b><\/p>\n

P\u0159ipravili jsme kr\u00e1sn\u00fd reperto\u00e1r, skladby Bed\u0159icha Smetany i Anton\u00edna Dvo\u0159\u00e1ka, s\u00a0br\u00e1chou a Zemlinsk\u00e9ho kvartetem jsme nastudovali Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u016fv sextet, jeho vrcholn\u00e9 d\u00edlo.<\/span><\/p>\n

A aby toho nebylo m\u00e1lo, ve festivalov\u00e9m programu se objevuje i v\u00e1\u0161 nov\u00fd projekt. M\u016f\u017eeme se t\u011b\u0161it na jin\u00e9ho Pavla \u0160porcla?<\/b><\/p>\n

To bude Pavel \u0160porcl rocker, kter\u00fd se ze m\u011b na star\u00e1 kolena stal. Projekt je nov\u00fd a obecenstvo zat\u00edm poka\u017ed\u00e9, jak se \u0159\u00edk\u00e1, \u0161\u00edlelo. S\u00a0kapelou hrajeme hity Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Jimmiho Hendrixe i n\u011bkter\u00e9 moje skladby. Elektrick\u00e1 kytara, hammond varhany, bic\u00ed\u2026 v\u00a0uvozovk\u00e1ch Ro\u0161kotovo divadlo zbo\u0159\u00edme.<\/span><\/p>\n

Je mi jasn\u00e9, \u017ee je t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 predikovat, ale p\u0159esto: d\u00e1 se alespo\u0148 odhadnout, kdo by se mohl st\u00e1t n\u00e1stupcem posledn\u00edho \u010desk\u00e9ho v\u00edt\u011bze?<\/b><\/p>\n

(dlouho se sm\u011bje)<\/span><\/i> Up\u0159\u00edmn\u011b? J\u00e1 se ani ned\u00edval do seznamu p\u0159ihl\u00e1\u0161en\u00fdch a nebudu, aby to neovlivnilo m\u016fj \u00fasudek. Mus\u00edme po\u010dkat a\u017e na chvilku, kdy sout\u011b\u017e\u00edc\u00ed vstoup\u00ed na p\u00f3dium a za\u010dne hr\u00e1t. A a\u017e dohraje, teprve potom si m\u016f\u017eeme \u0159\u00edct, jestli to bylo standardn\u00ed, dobr\u00e9 nebo sv\u011btov\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

The chairman of the expert jury and director of the Kocian \u00dast\u00ed festival became a rocker in “his old age.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u0160porcl: We will tear down Ro\u0161kot’s theatre<\/span><\/p>\n

You must be delighted with the increased applications for the Kocian and Heran competitions. In total, over a hundred! What do you think it means?<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s a testament to the fantastic reputation that Kocianka holds. And I’m also very happy for the Heran competition, of course.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the reason behind this? There will be more factors, I suppose.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have had over seventy violinists at Kocianka in the past, so we are familiar with this situation. Of course, the good name of the competition is essential. When the participants, regardless of the result, leave with a good feeling, with the fact that they enjoyed Kocianka, made new friends in \u00dast\u00ed, and everyone was friendly to them. I would also like to mention the reception at the mayor’s, it is not usual everywhere, and here it is really stylish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The proof is also that the Czech contestants will equal the number of competitors from Mongolia. What to say?<\/span><\/p>\n

That’s just unbelievable! In short, they love us in Mongolia. It’s a tremendous rarity but also a satisfaction for good work. They have been coming to us for several years now and in greater and greater numbers. For them, the competition is a matter of the heart. We really appreciate them coming to us.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are also new judges. What led you to engage \u0160t\u011bp\u00e1n Graffe and Vladim\u00edr Harvan?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u0160t\u011bp\u00e1n is an excellent violinist and teacher from the Brno Conservatory. I believe Moravia should be represented in the jury, if only for a certain proportionality. The selection of a Slovak juror was influenced by the fact that he is not only an emeritus teacher of the Bratislava Conservatory but also a teacher of the blind violinist Viktor Knapp, who competed at Kocianka last year.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was an unforgettable experience for many of us.<\/span><\/p>\n

He incredibly impressed me, so I gave him a special prize. That was also the reason for engaging his teacher.<\/span><\/p>\n

If we look at the competition schedule, it’s a rush; in your case, it’s also connected with the festival. Can you manage such a race?<\/span><\/p>\n

We will have to! (laughs) Of course, we can handle it; we are professionals. I have always made it one of my biggest goals to have a genuinely objective jury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You don’t just have high standards for yourself, but also for the competitors. For many years, the word on Kocianka has been that you don’t discount them; is that still true?<\/span><\/p>\n

Undoubtedly! The demands must always be the same, even if you never know what contestants will arrive and how exactly they will perform. Sometimes, someone you don’t expect will give an incredible performance, and on the other hand, someone may get nervous. However, the competition has prestige, and it would be wrong to compromise its quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the high level of competition, you often talk about the necessity of sound financial support. Is it going well?<\/span><\/p>\n

We are trying. In addition to all the traditional sponsors, I am thrilled, and it should be said that we have arranged cooperation with two more crucial partners. The first is the Royal Czech Institute, owner of Jan \u0160pidlen’s beautiful violin, which I call “exSuk”. Mr Josef Suk used to play them, and from this year’s edition, they will be lent to the laureate for a year’s use. The second new partner is NeoVision, which financially rewards the successful third and fourth-category winners.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first festival concert formed a bridge between Heranka and Kocianka. Was that your intention?<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two aspects that I was aiming for. The first is the connection between the competitions in the person of the excellent cellist Ji\u0159\u00ed B\u00e1rta. The second one concerns contacting Polish orchestras, a kind of regional cooperation. After all, Poland is very close. I would like to start collaborating with this concert.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the festival programme, we could not overlook the concert for the Year of Czech Music. If only because the surname \u0160porcl is there twice.<\/span><\/p>\n

We prepared a beautiful repertoire, works by Bed\u0159ich Smetana and Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, and with my brother and the Zemlinsk\u00fd Quartet, we staged Dvo\u0159\u00e1k’s sextet, his masterpiece.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And your new project will also appear in the festival programme. Can we look forward to a whole different Pavel \u0160porcl?<\/span><\/p>\n

It will be Pavel \u0160porcl, the rocker I have become in my old age. The project is new, and the audience has, as they say, gone crazy every time. With the band, we play hits by Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Jimmi Hendrix, and some of my songs. Electric guitar, Hammond organ, drums… In quotes, we’re going to tear down the Ro\u0161kot Theatre.<\/span><\/p>\n

So last year’s laureate Milan Kostelenec is lucky to be performing there a day early. As chairman of the jury, will you be there?<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ll definitely be there; that goes for all festival concerts!<\/span><\/p>\n

It is difficult to predict, but is it possible to guess who could become the successor of the last Czech winner?<\/span><\/p>\n

(long laugh) Honestly? I haven’t even looked at the list of contestants, and I won’t, lest it influence my judgement. We have to wait until the contestant enters the stage and starts playing. Only when he finishes can we say it was standard, good, or world-class.<\/span><\/p>\n
