Ji\u0159\u00ed Pavlica & HRADI\u0160\u0164AN is a unique musical ensemble with a high artistic and interpretative level, an unusually wide range of genres, and an unconventional repertoire, which was strongly inspired by folk traditions, especially in its early days. Since 1978, the artistic director of Hradi\u0161\u0165an has been the creative personality, violinist, and composer Ji\u0159\u00ed Pavlica, under whose leadership the dramaturgy gradually began to transform into broader historical, geographical, and social contexts.
\nHradi\u0161\u0165an transcends the boundaries of musical genres and collaborates with personalities from different cultures around the world. It is a frequent guest at domestic and international festivals of traditional, alternative, and classical music. Hradi\u0161\u0165an collaborates with radio, television, and film, has performed on four continents, recorded more than 30 major albums, and collaborated on many others. Its core soloists include Alice Holubov\u00e1, Ji\u0159\u00ed Pavlica, and David Burda.<\/p>\n
