The Kocian Violin Competition is an international competition for young people under the age of sixteen, which has been held annually since 1958 in Ústí nad Orlicí, the birthplace of Maestro Jaroslav Kocian. The concert of the laureate and winners of all age categories of the Kocian Violin Competition 2026 will once again bring the best violinists from the current competition year to the stage. As is tradition, the concert will be opened by an international chamber string orchestra composed of competition participants with soloists Leoš Čepický, chairman of the jury and winner of the competition in 1981, and Daniel Matejča, ambassador of the competition and winner in 2019.
