Dear friends,
We are very happy to announce that we received for this year’s Kocian Violin Competition an impressive total of 80 applications. Twenty four violinists represent the Czech school, and we are also looking forward to meeting musicians from nineteen other countries around the world. Thanks to you, the following countries will be represented: Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Arab Emirates, Mongolia, China, Japan, and the United States.
The organizing team is currently preparing the competition schedule and doing its best to create the most welcoming conditions so that you will feel comfortable in Ústí nad Orlicí.
We look forward to meeting you in the birthplace of Jaroslav Kocian and to hearing your musical performances.
